Kelly, thanks. Remember that the room was dimly lit—just a single bulb hanging from the ceiling over the table. It wasn’t until Luci got up close to Carl that she could see that he was not alive. Even after having seeing the stuffed animals, Luci would have no reason to think that anybody would actually kill and stuff humans.

Very nice story. Very well written, interesting. I agree with all the other comments, nice work. My only question is if Carl had indeed died of head trauma, wouldn’t there be some sort of visible mark, some indication to Luci when she first saw him and ran up to him still thinking he was alive? lol Just a thought. Nice story at any rate.

this sort of reminded me of a short story called “land lady” by rohld dahl. it was really good. rohld dahl made it so it was like a horror story for kids…but there was nothing childish about it…its really hard to explain but you should read it…but anyway, GREAT STORY, and good job…Keep on with the good work!
